Tucked away between the Travelling Man game shop and the Old York Tea Room on Goodramgate is a bricked archway leading to one of the most lovely churches in York, Holy Trinity Church.

Nestled behind a shopping street in Pickering lies the grade 1 listed St Peter and St Paul's church. Originally on the site of an Anglo-Saxon church, the church that stands now houses some of the most complete and best preserved medieval wall paintings in the UK.

Fountains Abbey near Ripon in Yorkshire is an immense ruined abbey rich in history.

Our favourite shop in York, but its popularity has meant long queues which isn't something we can manage nowadays. We queued for nearly 2 hours on our first visit! However, we discovered that since 2023 they have offered accessible appointments, so decided to try it out!
