Speke Hall is a grade 1 listed Tudor manor house and is said to be one of the most haunted buildings in England. Built and owned by the Norris family, who were Roman Catholics, during the reformation, the Hall has a number of Tudor 'security systems' in place and a priest hole incase of unwanted visitors.
